We're Hiring a Designer!

Fourteen-Forty is looking for a new part-time illustrator/designer to join us in our New York City studio. We're looking for the right person to fit into our close-knit team - we can't wait to meet you!

DESIGNER
You have a great love for design, with a solid understanding of typographic principles and color theory. You have crazy drawing skills and can adapt your style to work within our studio aesthetic. You take pride in your incredible attention to detail and believe that no job is too small as you grow your career in graphic design. You are excited to see the inner-workings of a small business.

THE ROLE
You will assist the Creative Director in designing high-end wedding stationery for discerning clients.

YOU WILL
Create illustrations
Design cohesive wedding suites
Integrate clients requests for changes
Preflight design files for print
Maintain and organize in-house collections
Support on special design projects
Assist on other studio duties as needed

REQUIREMENTS
Four year degree
Able to work in our NYC studio
Extensive experience with Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
Strong computer skills, including knowledge of social media
Able to take direction and execute instructions quickly and accurately
Motivated to learn and know how to take criticism and grow from it
A strong work ethic and great communication skills
Will go above and beyond what is asked and is able to work independently
